Behind the Scenes
A component of my times with the Blues is also shooting and editing behind the scenes content throughout the season. Some would be pieces showcasing the process of creating season long opens, community service by the players, or following members of the gameday crew to show what really goes on during a hockey match.
Directed, filmed, and edited a new house open for our Kids Night theme night. A combination of mixed media animation and live action blended to tell a short story of kids teaching each other about the blues. Approximately 1,852 frames were printed out, hand drawn with various drawing utensils, the rescanned and cut to create a narrative of how children perceive the game and would share their enjoyment in the classroom.
Social Content
We partnered with the Social Team many times to produce funny content or promote certain matchups on all the Blues social feeds. These team-ups were another fun way to express creativity, while adhering to Blues guidelines and practices.
Kids Night Open
Period Opens and Pumps
Most of my work for the Blues consists of creating videos that utilize fresh highlights to pump up the crowd at home games, or creating spots that set up the intensity or vibe of the next period. I try to create something unique for each video I make, wether that be a different genre of music or new editing styles, I am always learning and willing to try something new.
In Game Content
Besides making energetic content, I also edit videos deriving from content we created and shot in the preseason to making spots for branded partnerships. These are more focused content pieces, allowing for a different style of editing.
